ATTENDANCE & PROCEDURES POLICY:
The attendance policy and procedures for American International School is designed to encourage
regular attendance, promote academic success, and ensure student safety.
ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Purpose: The purpose of this attendance policy is to ensure that all students attend school regularly and
on time to maximize their learning and academic success.
1. Attendance Requirements: Students are required to attend school every day except for
legitimate and approved absences. Students must arrive at school on time and attend all classes

must provide a written note from a parent or guardian explaining the reason for their absence.
The school may request additional documentation for extended absences.
3. Unexcused Absences: Unexcused absences include any absence not approved by the school
administration. Examples include skipping class, truancy, or unauthorized early dismissal.
Students who are absent without an approved excuse will be subject to disciplinary action,
which may include detention, loss of privileges, and other consequences as determined by the
school administration.
4. Tardiness: Students who arrive at school after the designated start time will be marked tardy.
Repeated tardiness may result in disciplinary action, which may include detention, loss of
privileges, and other consequences as determined by the school administration.
